ALS actively participated on 19.10.2015 to the discussion how the mining sector in Serbia could contribute more to the economic development of the country.

Aykut Karaca, Business Development Manager from the ALS Minerals Division and Olivier Lécot, Business Development Manager from the ALS Environmental Division, were very pleased to meet mining operators and investors, public authorities and other stakeholders. They could discuss actual and future challenges at the 5th International Conference on Mineral Resources in the Republic of Serbia.

One of the topics of the Conference „Balancing Environmental and Development Needs is one of the greatest challenge in the mining industry“  was the occasion to show ALS Life Sciences to support the different operators in Serbia to succeed in this balancing between environmental and development needs. Namely to discuss concrete environmental needs in matter of water sampling and analytical laboratory solutions for a wide range of compounds, from metals analysis till organic compounds determination. Baseline monitoring of surface water and groundwater, as well as soil and waste characterisation were also part of the discussions.
