GMP+ FSA Certified Analyses

The GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance is a certification scheme developed to ensure feed quality and safety throughout the global feed chain. The GMP+ was established in 1992 in response to a number of cases of contaminated feed materials. Over time, it has developed into an international certification scheme that integrates a number of quality management systems.
GMP+ includes two modules: GMP+ FSA (Feed Safety Assurance) and GMP+ FRA Feed Responsibility Assurance) schemes. The GMP+ FSA module defines requirements to guarantee feed safety and sustainability based on the ISO 9001 standard, HACCP and relevant legislation. It covers the whole feed chain from the primary producer of agricultural commodities to the production, storage and transport of finished feed.
As of 1 January 2020, only Registered GMP+ Laboratories are allowed to carry out the analysis of critical contaminants.
Being a part of the GMP + FSA certification scheme facilitates entry into the international feed production chain. It enables companies not only to meet the national and EU legislative requirements but also to:
- increase their credibility with business partners and government regulators;
- strengthen the position on the EU and global markets;
- reduce the liability risks; and
- generate new business opportunities.
ALS Czech Republic is GMP+ certified and offers a large range of accredited analyses in the field of microbiology, determination of aflatoxins, mycotoxins, pesticides, dioxins and PCBs, heavy metals and antibiotics:
ALS Czech Republic is a GMP + B11 registered laboratory in the following mandatory analyses of critical contaminants:
- Aflatoxin B1
- Dioxins and dioxin-like PCBs
- Non-dioxin-like PCB
- Heavy metals (Hg, As, Pb, Cd)
We determine a wide range of other parameters for the evaluation of microbiological quality of food, food supplements, feed and bottled water including:
- a wide range of detectable metals and mineral elements, such as Ca, P, Mg, Na, Fe, Cu, Se and K;
- other mycotoxins using our the modern HPLC technology with fluorescence or spectrophotometric detection;
- pesticides in food, feed, water and other matrices
We operate a state-of-the-art laboratory performing ultra-trace analyses of PCDD/F and other POPs by high resolution gas chromatography – high resolution mass spectrometry (HRGC-HRMS). We perform up to 30,000 analyses per year in a wide range of matrices incl. environmental samples, water, food, feed, vegetation and unique matrices such as industrial products (dyes, pigments, organic intermediates).
